Canepa takes to the red carpet
High quality textiles get top billing with stunning outfits
Canepa textiles are a hit with film stars and have been showcased on the most high-profile red carpets, used for dresses with unmistakeably feminine lines, such as those designed by Matteo Manzini and Andrea Bertolini (Commercial Director), for the latest edition of the Venice Film Festival. For his creations, the Italian stylist used plissé crepe de chine, Georgette silk, chiffon, shiny fabrics and jacquard fil coupé combined with a transparent crepon finish for draping. The designer was inspired by the carefree and provocative nature of the 1970s and the sensuality of Jerry Hall, Apollonia and Pat Cleveland, but also by the genius of Ara Gallant, creating an original and striking result.
