Pitti Uomo 89: Excellent Results for Canepa Brands
Fiorio celebrates its 70th anniversary
This edition of Pitti Uomo 89 was a huge success, with its audience become increasingly international. Orders from American and Asian clients increased, but there were also significant purchases from Europe, showing a renewed interest in Canepa brands. At the event in Florence, the Como-based company showcased its new products and the best of its four historic brands. La Rana relaunched its sophisticated and hugely comfortable dressing gown which, according to co-founder and brand manager, Beppe Tavola, “was met with high levels of interest, especially from foreign markets”. Brand manager Andrea Molinelli highlighted the significant success enjoyed abroad, but also on the Italian market, by the luxuriant Tino Cosma collection of accessories which were featured in the event. For brand manager Carlo Castelli, “the new, sporty elegance of the Gallieni brand attracted new clients searching for a modern look” in a collection abundant as ever in ties, scarves, pocket squares and bow-ties, with a style incorporating soft knots typical of the autumn season. The spotlight was particularly focused on Fiorio which enjoyed great success with prints indicating the start of a new creative direction. But there was another reason for such attention: in 2016, the famous brand celebrates its 70th anniversary with festivities organised between June and December. Brand manager Marco Tamborini said, “on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of our brand, we would like to thank all our clients for their continuing loyalty to our products and the philosophy which sets us apart from the rest”.
